Morgan Leigh Davies

Morgan Leigh Davies is freelance writer and researcher who previously covered film and culture for Bustle. Her areas of specialty include the Oscar race and film history, and she brings an interdisciplinary approach to her writing.

Her criticism has appeared in publications including The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Village Voice, The Daily Dot, and Bright Wall/Dark Room, and she co-hosts the weekly pop culture podcast Overinvested. As a researcher, she works with freelance journalists, authors, and podcast producers, most recently on Campside Media’s history show Eclipsed.

Morgan received her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and later received her master's degree in Victorian literature from the University of Oxford. She also volunteers as a mentor with Girls Write Now. In her free time, you can usually find her reading a book or watching tennis.
