After a week of will he or won't he be evicted, I'm happy to announce that Jeff was evicted from the Big Brother 17 house on Thursday's live show. After Vanessa and Austin set their sights on Jeff from the beginning of the week, things veered off path when Vanessa considered evicting James. But after a quick Veto renomination had to occur, good ol' Jeff found himself on the block and heading out to meet Julie Chen on eviction night. I'm sorry, I have to say it, YES. Jeff is out of the house and we don't have to deal with someone who didn't know there were two HOHs in Big Brother.
Unbeknownst to most of the house, Jeff was the target since the beginning of the week. Houseguests that were working with the HOHs (Clay, Shelli, Liz, and Julia) all knew that Austin and Vanessa planned to sell Audrey as the target, but really evict Jeff. Audrey, a "target" since Week 1, is still fighting off houseguests who want her out for instigating so much trouble within the first few days of the game. I don't blame them, but I also don't think Audrey is the person to waste an HOH on. Let someone else do that.
Vanessa lost sight of Jeff for a moment during the week when she thought that James was a bigger target than Jeff was. Luckily, Austin lost the Veto ceremony at the last second, which had a domino effect (pun intended) of renominations, which ended with Jeff in the chair next to his right hand man, James.
Vanessa was pretty smart in her nominating Jeff as a replacement, especially after she egged him into an argument (so she had a reason to nominate Jeff). I personally think Jeff has given the house plenty of reason to nominate him (and evict him), but hey, if that's what you need to sleep at night, Vanessa.
Jeff leaving the game on Week 3 won't really change too much, since he hasn't really ever made a move in the game (he's made moves, but unfortunately, they've been on people, not the game). He was considered a physical threat to the house, which will benefit those who couldn't outlast him in physical challenges. Personally, Jeff, I won't miss you. I won't miss your questions about how to play the game. I won't miss your backwards hat. I won't miss you insisting that one of the twins was into you, and preying on her.
