No new friends, or no friends at all? On the premiere of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge are still at odds after their explosive Season 9 issues. Actually, they're not really at odds as much as they're just not in each other's lives. Which is sad, because these two are our longest-running cast members on RHOC, they've got to stick together! Unfortunately, both women are going through big milestones in their lives, and neither has their friend. Consider this the official petition to reunite Tacki, or Vickra. Or just Tamra and Vicki.
Tamra's big milestone in life is that she's having a baby! Well, that's how it would come off, if you blinked through the parts where you learn the baby girl is actually her son Ryan's baby, Tamra's soon-to-be-born granddaughter. It's a v. exciting time in the Judge household, because not long ago, Tamra wanted a baby with Eddie. (Remember that terrifying fake baby doll she got named Astrid or Astroid?) So it's a room full of mazels for Tamra for having her (Ryan's) baby enter her life.
At the same time, though, it seems like Tamra doesn't really have many friends, really. Except for Lynn Curtin from a RHOC season from way back. (Props to Bravo for digging her up out of the ex-Housewives graveyard. Wish we could have received an update on her cuff bracelet collection. Another time.) I digress. Tamra also had a big surgery in the premiere episode; she got her boobs back! Unfortunately, Tamra retrospectively recalled the time when she got her boobs taken out and how many friends she had back then that were calling for her to make sure she was OK. Now, Tamra doesn't have any friends, but she does have a lipgloss that she's really feelin'.
On the other side of Orange County, Vicki is dealing with a very scary medical condition in her family. Brooks, her now live-in boyfriend (!!!), has been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Sadly, her daughter Briana, didn't believe Vicki when she told her about the news. When Vicki called Tamra to tell her, Vicki claims that Tamra said she was sorry to hear that, and then never called again.
So moral of this story: We've got two old friends who have been through a lot. They've seen the ugly side of each other; they've seen the good side of each other. At the risk of sounding like Andy Cohen who just wants peace between the Housewives at the end of the reunion specials, Tamra and Vicki should really try to reunite and reconnect their friendship. It won't be easy, because a lot of s—t has gone down between them, but it seems like they are both in places in lives where they could use a friend.
Sentiment over.
