There's been so much talk about Bruce Jenner for the past year, but there was a particular handful of people that fans really wanted to hear from: Bruce Jenner and his family. Fans heard from a portion of Jenner's children during the special interview with Diane Sawyer in April, but the women in Jenner's life have remained relatively quiet regarding Jenner's journey. But Kendall Jenner, who walked the Billboard Music Awards red carpet on Sunday, spoke on her father's journey just hours before the Keeping Up With The Kardashians special on Bruce Jenner.
While speaking with Giuliana Rancic on the BBMA's red carpet, Kendall said, of Bruce, "Honestly, I’ve never seen him happier. I was with him yesterday. That alone makes me so happy. To see him happy and to see him going through this and staying so strong, and really thinking about his kids is amazing." When Rancic asked if Kendall was happy that Bruce was "living his truth" and that "it's out there," Kendall confirmed with a "most definitely."
This isn't the first time Kendall has spoken out about her father. In a joint statement with sister Kylie Jenner, Kendall said to ABC (for the 20/20 special for ABC), “We love our dad very much. He has the biggest heart and all we want is for him to be happy. If he’s happy, we’re happy.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashian special will revolve around the family's reaction to Bruce's transition. It will give fans a better look into the family's thoughts and most certainly prove that the family is incredibly supportive of Bruce and his future.
Editor’s Note: Per Jenner’s stated preference, Bustle will continue referring to Jenner using he/his pronouns for the time being. We will follow his lead and make any changes to this policy as needed in the future.
