In the eternal words of Taylor Swift, Whitney Sudler-Smith and Kathryn Dennis, of Southern Charm , are never, ever, ever getting back together. Scratch that, Whitney and Kathryn are never, ever, ever going to be friends. Ever. In this exclusive clip of Monday's Southern Charm, Whitney and Kathryn have a little pow-wow that will eliminate any doubt in your mind that these two might ever get along, or at least be able to function in the same setting without wanting to rip each other's heads off.
Whitney and Kathryn have a past, and it's not a particularly charm-ing one. In Season 1, "did they?" or "didn't they?" was the name of the game, and brought a lot of drama to Charleston. Whitney confessed that he and Kathryn did hook up once, and the news really shook T-Rav up. Flash forward to Season 2, Whitney and Kathryn have come a long way from making banana pancakes in the morning, playing Jack Johnson lightly in the background, in what I assume would be Whitney's morning routine with or without a woman present. (Of course, Whitney's mother, Patricia Altschul, is always present.)
In the clip, Kathryn confronts Whitney's holier-than-thou attitude towards her. Kathryn says Whitney doesn't know anything about her and Thomas' life. She gets in a dig at Whitney's well-mannered mother — which Shep silently cheers at — and suggests that Whitney "falls on a knife." Fun. Whitney has a relatively smug demeanor the entire time. He says that Thomas doesn't paint Kathryn in a nice light — namely that Thomas tells him "blood-curdling, horrific things" that Kathryn does — and adds that her heart is just one big dollar sign. It's going down in Jekyll Island, y'all.
Southern Charm airs Mondays at 10 PM.
