“Springing forward” for Daylight Saving Time is probably one of my least favorite events of the year — but at least one good thing came out of it this year: Dunkin' Donuts is offering free iced coffee at participating locations today to help us deal with the lost hour. I don't know about you, but I could definitely use the extra boost. Daylight Saving is the worst.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, Dunkin' will be handing out free, 16-ounce iced coffees all day today. You don't need a coupon to take advantage of the deal — all you need to do is show up! — although as you might expect, you're limited to one coffee per customer. If you're feeling fancy, you can add a flavor shot to up the ante a little; in addition to its standard French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Toasted Almond shots (among others — the menu is wide and varied), DD has just introduced this year's batch of Baskin-Robbins flavors: Cookie Dough, Butter Pecan, and Rocky Road. The two former flavors make their return, having earned the love of coffee fans with sweet teeth everywhere in previous years; Rocky Road, however, is new, combining “the tastes of rich chocolate, marshmallow, and almond flavors.” If that floats your boat, go for it. Because yum.
I've been unable to determine whether it's a nationwide promo; however, I know it's happening in the following locations:
Given the huge swathe of states, I suspect it's likely to be happening somewhere near you, too; head on over to Dunkin' Donuts' website to find your nearest location.
Also, because I am sleepy and I bet you are, too, here are some GIFs of adorable sleepy animals who could definitely benefit from some free iced coffee (if, y'know, caffeine wasn't absolutely terrible for adorable sleepy animals):
Happy Monday, everyone!
