More big stars have been added to voice the animated film Underdogs . Ariana Grande, Nicholas Hoult, and Katie Holmes will voice characters in the animated film, along with Matthew Morrison, who plays another one of the lead characters. Underdogs is about a foosball player, Jake (Morrison), who has to defend his town and the girl he loves, Laura (Grande), from Ace (Hoult) who plans to destroy the town to build a sports stadium. That's when the unbelievable happens and Jake's foosball players — you know, the fake little guys that are controlled by the rod — come to life to help him defend his town, and save Laura. So that sounds like a good film...
If you're already trying to buy your ticket, you're going to have to wait a little bit longer, as the film — which was set to premiere in January 2015 — has been moved to be released April 10, 2015, which still isn't that far away. And Holmes, Grande, Morrison, and Hoult aren't the only familiar voices you can expect to hear in the new movie. Rizzoli & Isles actor Chazz Palminteri, SNL duo Bobby Moynihan and Taran Killam, and one of Mexico's biggest stars, Eugenio Derbez — who you can also hear in the upcoming film The Book of Life — are also all voicing characters for the film.
Let's hope Grande's character sings, because if not, what a waste, right?
