2014 Emmys Red Carpet: All The Looks From Television's Biggest Night, So Get Ready To Swoon TV Nerds
Movies are fine and all, but it's television I really care about. Dramas about science teachers turned meth dealers, fantasies where the main characters die every other episode, cartoons about a family-run burger joint... You name it, I probably watch it. So, obviously, the Emmy Awards are very important to me, and not just for all the shows up for nomination — the red carpet tends to be pretty spectacular as well. From Lena Dunham to Taylor Schilling to Sophie Turner, here are all the looks from the 2014 Emmys' Red Carpet.
Lena Heady
Looking as regal as ever.
Danielle Brooks
Oh my, the neckline detail on Brooks’ dress is amazing.
Giuliana Rancic
This bright red Gustavo Cadile gown is simply stunning, and I love the subtle purple accents in the pleats.
Kelly Osbourne
Osbourne’s lacy custom Honor dress and metallic Aldo shoes match perfectly with my favorite thing about her: that purple hair.

Heidi Klum
Klum is glowing in a coral, Zac Posen gown.
Ricky Gervais
Those are some pretty sweet shades, Gervais.

Samira Wiley
Ughhhhh, I have the biggest crush ever on Samira Wiley, and this gorgeous yellow number only further solidifies it.

Taylor Schilling
I love sequins on the red carpet, and this OITNB’s Zuhair Murad gown is no exception.
Dascha Polanco
Work those curves, girl!
Sarah Hyland
FIRST CROP TOP SIGHTING.
Natasha Lyonne
This hem is definitely unique, but there’s no doubt that navy is Natasha Lyonne’s color.
Lena Dunham And Jack Antonoff
Woo! Bustle’s own Rosie Narasaki correctly predicted that Dunham would wear this fabulous Giambattista Valli skirt.
Laura Prepon
Against her jet black hair, this emerald green gown is stunning.
Hayden Panettiere
If I get pregnant, I plan on exclusively wearing sequins, thanks to Hayden Panettiere’s major inspo.
Amanda Peet & David Benioff
Ooh, or maybe all florals? Gosh, now I can’t decide.
Mayim Bialik
The former Blossom star’s still got it — this off-the-shoulder number is perfection.
Debra Messing
I love the “muscle tee” look on red carpet dresses.
Kiernan Shipka
I’ll Never Be as Cool as Kiernan Shipka, A Memoir by Kara McGrath
Anna Gunn
Breaking Bad may be over (*crying forever*), but Anna Gunn is still my queen.
Kit Harington
A man with a bun is a man for me ;)
Natalie Dormer
Wait! Where’s her undercut?!
Keke Palmer
Calling it early: Blue’s the color of the night.
Edie Falco
SEE?!
Alexandra Daddario
With eyes like those, who even cares what the True Detective actress is wearing?
Minnie Driver
Red was another big trend on the carpet Monday night.
Melissa McCarthy
Loving her custom Marchesa!
Michelle Monaghan
The True Detective actress could wear this long-sleeved, white ensemble well after Labor Day, so take notes.
Rico Rodriguez
<3 u forever, Rico.
Anna Chlumsky
White can be rough on the red carpet, but this Veep actress does it flawlessly.
Peter Dinklage
"Peter Dinklage Wins Best Beard at the 2014 Emmys."
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting
I’m usually on the fence about red on the red carpet, but Cuoco-Sweeting’s pops of pinks have me totally sold.
Christine Baranski
I love a good cape effect.
January Jones
I’m a sucker for big, structured gowns, so Jones’ Prabal Gurung number is definitely topping my best-dressed list.
Christina Hendricks
Proof that “gingers can’t wear red” is a total myth.
Julianna Margulies
Digging this ombré take on the LBD.
Kerry Washington
Everyone was highly anticipating the Scandal star’s red carpet look, and she didn’t disappoint in this orange Prada number.
Michelle Dockery
Wow. Absolutely stunning.
Octavia Spencer
After muscle tees, short-sleeve dresses are probably my favorite.
Mindy Kaling
The Mindy Project star looks fierce as hell in a Kenzo number.
Mark Ruffalo & Sunrise Coigney
Ruffalo lookin’ mighty dapper in a classic tuxe.
Cat Deely
A break from all the red, white, and blue on the carpet, Deely looks pretty as a princess in this blush ombré gown.
RJ Mitte
RJ Mitte. You can’t just be that good looking and then also bring your mom to the Emmys and expect me not to fall madly in love with you.
Julia Roberts
Those legs though.
Sarah Paulson
She’s the star of a horror show, okay? She can wear this dress.
Lizzy Caplan
Caplan looks stunning in this colorblocked look, but it’s making me sad Party Down isn’t on the air anymore.
Uzo Aduba
Looking anything but crazy, of course.
Sarah Silverman
Sarah Silverman talked a lot about her boobs on the E! Red Carpet, which makes sense, I suppose.
Gabourey Sidibe
It really was all-red everything on this carpet.
Taryn Manning
Liquid gold is always a solid choice.
Amy Pohler
Liquid silver works, too.
Claire Danes
Uh oh, I can feel myself freaking out over the lace cutouts on Danes’ Givenchy gown.
Ariel Winter
Love a good black and white crop top moment.
Julia Louise-Dreyfus
Louise-Dreyfus is a popular pick to win the Emmy tonight, and her halter dress is equally amazing.
Jessica Paré
The bodice on this LBD is absolutely stunning.
Sofia Vergara
Looking red hot in a stark white gown.
Kate Mara
STOP BEING PERFECT.
Katherine Heigl
Katherine Heigl, appearing as your grandmother in a nightgown this evening.
Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
He couldn’t pronounce her dress’ designer on the carpet, but who cares? They’re hot AF.
Allison Janney
Winner of the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Show, Ms. Janney is killing it in a velvet gown.
Aaron Paul
No words, bitch.
Julianne Hough
Right on trend with the white, but that bow is a little overwhelming.
Michelle Hurst & Madeline Brewer
So happy to see Hurst, who woke from a medically induced coma after a car accident in January, on the red carpet with the rest of the OITNB ladies.
