This includes fashion- and beauty-related daily news coverage, reported features, interviews, personal essays, service content, and experiments. She is also one of the hosts of Bustle's Instagram Story series, Beauty Call. Before Bustle, Kara was a Web Editor at Seventeen, where she covered fashion, beauty, entertainment, health, and general lifestyle content. Her bylines have also appeared on Refinery29 and The Knot. She has a BA in Journalism from Hofstra University, with minors in Spanish and Musical Theater. Pre-editor life, Kara got some formal beauty training at cosmetology school.
