Welp, Crazy Eyes has set the bar pretty high for everyone else at the red carpet. At the 2016 Tonys, Uzo Aduba showed up in a bright, cobalt gown and blew the crowd away. Although she's not in anything this season, Aduba started her career on Broadway, so it only makes sense that she'd be one of the featured presenters for Sunday night's ceremony. And gosh, she dressed the part.
Aduba stuck to her usual style of brightly colored frocks in a floaty blue number that was all about the details. First, we have the asymmetrical hemline, with a sneaky-sexy up-to-there slit. Then there's the slight peplum detailing at the waist, that just makes the look so much sweeter. Finally, we've got that halter neckline — such a '90s throwback, in actually the best way possible.
Such a show-stopping ensemble barely needs support, so it makes sense that Aduba kept it simple with her accessorizing. Her set of sparkly rings, matching earrings, and silver sandals are just the finishing touches the look needs. Oh, and that famously warm smile of hers.
With the newest season of Orange Is The New Black hitting Netflix this week, I can't wait to see even more stunning appearances from Aduba.
