While the actual show won't air until 8 p.m. on Sunday, we're all getting a sneak peek at what the 2016 MTV Movie Awards will look like, thanks to the pre-taped show the night before. And if the red carpet is any indication, it's going to be a seriously glamorous affair. Everyone from Kendall Jenner to Emilia Clarke showed up in their Saturday night best, serving us serious inspiration for our next fancy dress affair.
Usually, the Movie Awards is a time for brightly colored (or floral printed) frocks, wild headpieces, neon rompers and shoes basically made for #fromwhereistand Instagram shots. For whatever reason, the stars in attendance for 2016 went in the complete opposite direction: All black everything was most definitely a theme almost everyone appeared to agree on, giving the red carpet a more cohesive feel than we've seen in past years. It might not have been the summer-y affair we're used to, but all that monochromatic goodness is making this New Yorker's heart sing.
