It's no secret that Yolanda Foster has been fighting Lyme Disease like a warrior. She's documented the highs, and sadly the lows on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over the years, and Tuesday's episode was no different. There are a lot of challenges that come with Lyme Disease, but perhaps the biggest challenge is the uncertaintly of your future. In a very brave display of vulnerability, Yolanda shared her will with her children on RHOBH , and it was heartbreaking and inspiring all wrapped up into one tear-inducing scene.
Yolanda brought her family together at her home in Malibu to discuss her upcoming surgery to get her breast implants removed in hopes of navigating around any future issues they could cause to her health. It was over grilled cheese and tomato soup, made by everyone's favorite model Gigi Hadid, that Yolanda dropped the bomb on her family that she was presenting them with her will. She opened up about how she lost her father suddenly, and she doesn't want that to happen to her children, which is why she was making it known to them that it exists.
Yolanda was confident that nothing was going to happen to her during her upcoming explant surgery, but she felt that it was very important to share the will with her children. Bella, Gigi, and Anwar all seemed upset about the conversation, and I don't blame them. It's not easy to listen to your parents talk about something so serious and scary. Especially when it feels unncessary. I think most people would have been overwhelmed with emotions.
But, I also understand where Yolanda was coming from. Having experienced losing a parent first hand, she knows that it's not easy moving forward without some direction, which is what she wanted to present to her children. Yolanda, if anything, is prepared. That has become obvious in the precautions she has taken for her Lyme Disease, and this would be no different. I applaud Yolanda for bringing viewers such a vulnerable moment for her family, and also applaud her children for staying strong beside her throughout everything she is going through.
