Do you remember where you were when the first season of How to Get Away with Murder ended? I do — my couch, hand in a bowl of popcorn — which is where I sat for the remainder of the weekend because I was so shocked/confused at what had just went down with the Keating 5. To refresh, the girl we had gone back and forth trusting all season, Rebecca, was murdered. By who? Who knows who killed Rebecca! Annalise and Frank "found" her body in the cellar, but because I seriously don't know what to believe anymore on this show — reminder: Wes killed Sam Keating, Annalise framed her detective boyfriend for Sam's murder, Frank killed Lila on Sam's behalf — Annalise and Frank could be very guilty. [UPDATE: we discovered on the premiere that Bonnie killed Rebecca.]
The list of suspects is rather long for Rebecca's murder. Luckily, we won't have to wait very long to learn who is behind it. Entertainment Weekly reports that Rebecca's killer will be revealed in the Season 2 premiere. It's great we won't have to wait an entire season to find out the killer, but can we really trust this show to tell us who the real killer is so easily?
You know who we can trust? Drunk people recapping the murderous of Season 1. Bustle's editors definitely have some opinions on Rebecca's murder.
And, on behalf of anticipating the reveal and playing detective myself, here are the top suspects as to who killed Rebecca in the Season 1 finale of How to Get Away with Murder.
Frank
Sorry, but I don't trust the guy. In the Season 1 finale, we learned that Frank killed Lila for Sam Keating. Umm, since when was Frank more loyal to Sam and not Annalise? Plus, this guy is around too often — especially because he's not a real lawyer. He just "handles" things.
Frank "found" Rebecca's body with Annalise, but he could have easily been down in the cellar before "finding" her. Then again, is he this sloppy?
Wes
Yeah, I'm talking to you, Wes. Stop looking so confused — YOU KILLED A MAN. Wes' relationship with Rebecca turned sour at the end of last season, and I'm not sure he would do to keep her quiet. Plus, Wes is very loyal — almost too loyal — to Annalise. If Rebecca got in the way of that, well...
Eggs 911
Who is Eggs 911? That's a great question. Rebecca texted an anonymous person "Eggs 911. Lawyer's house" right before she was killed. While this could be a text for help, maybe this mystery person also killed her.
Annalise
Annalise was crazy paranoid of Rebecca throughout the entire season. While I don't know if Annalise single-handedly killed Rebecca, I wouldn't be surprised if she had something to do with her murder.
Bonnie
Let's just throw a curveball in there. Bonnie lost Annalise's loyalty towards the end of the first season, which literally had Bonnie on her knees in front of Annalise. Could Bonnie have tried to redeem herself by eliminating Rebecca to protect Annalise?
The possibilities are endless, but luckily we won't have to wait long to find out who killed Rebecca. That is, if the revealed killer is actually the killer.
