We made it, you guys! After Clay Honeycutt was evicted from Big Brother 17, the season finally reached the point in the game where the houseguests will be sent to the jury house if they're evicted. This is a huge milestone because it means a few things. First, Liz cannot get away from Austin now, whether she wants to or not. Second, Clay and Shelli will officially be separated for two more months. Third, a jury member could return to Big Brother once they are evicted from the house. Yes, you read that right. There could be a return of a houseguest, so people are going to start getting strategic with who they evict.
On Thursday night, Julie Chen teased that going to the jury house doesn't mean that the houseguests can't return to the Big Brother game. In Season 16, four houseguests — Zach, Jocasta, Hayden, and Nicole — competed to return to the house for a second chance to win the $500,000. In the past season, it was Nicole that returned to the house, full of spite for her BFF Christine for turning on her. To refresh you of the return of the houseguest competition, I present this to you.
(JOCASTA WAS JUST REALLY HAPPY NICOLE GOT ANOTHER CHANCE AT HER DREAM, OK?)
So what does this mean for the houseguests now? First of all, they're going to need to play their cards right when it comes to evicting vengeful houseguests. If they send someone out with blood on their hands, that person could return and come after them. So plan on Vanessa worrying about all the blood on her hands, and plan on more tears from everyone else in the house. Ugh.
In an ideal world, Clay would get to come back into the house. But it's not a perfect world, which is evident because he was evicted in the first place. For more on Big Brother 17, check out Bustle's podcast The Diary Room.
