If you’re not already obsessed with Aussie brand Quay’s sunglasses, I’m a little jealous of the fun that awaits you. First popularized in the music festival scene, Quay’s on-trend silhouettes — offered at accessible price points — have earned the brand cult-favorite status. Quay would be worth checking out even if it hadn’t just dropped a brand new celeb collaboration — which it very much has. Created in partnership with GRAMMY-winning singer and songwriter SZA, Quay’s latest drop features eight distinctive styles guaranteed to make a ‘fit drip, just in time for festival season (she’s headlining Gov Ball in New York on June 9) and beyond.

The SZA Edit

Including Y2K-inspired rimless sunnies alongside a chunky, geometric cat eye — and the artist’s personal favorite, some shield-like aviators — the Quay x SZA collection will almost certainly have an on-trend piece that speaks to your aesthetic. The edit includes eight styles meant to represent different facets of SZA’s creative personality. It’s an approach that makes sense, given the brand is working with such a multifaceted artist. SZA effortlessly vibe shifts from alluring in her Good Days music video to fierce in Kill Bill, and Quay’s collaboration embodies that same versatility.

1. These Limited-Edition SZA Geometric Sunnies

A geometric spin on the classic cat eye silhouette, the frames of these sunglasses slope subtly upwards, with a squared-off edge and wide arms to keep the look modern — and endlessly versatile. They’re available in a classic black, but it’s worth noting that this limited-edition SZA version, in a chic apricot hue, is worth snapping up for its rarity as for its styling potential.

2. SZA’s Favorite Pair From The Collection

Not only will these oversized, shield-like aviators instantly imbue your outfit with futuristic edge, they happen to SZA’s favorite from the collection. (*Instantly adds to cart.*) Wrapped frames in a brushed gold finish are punctuated by tiny gold-toned metal rivets, seamlessly blending with gradient camel lenses. Crafted with Quay’s signature attention to detail, the design features adjustable silicone nose pads with slender, tapered, gold-toned arms to contrast the otherwise strong silhouette.

3. A Pair Of Bold Yet Classic Tortoiseshell Sunglasses

These sunglasses combine timeless tortoiseshell with a strong rectangular shape that widens ever so slightly at the edges. It’s a bold yet classic design that you’ll keep in steady rotation, particularly since they embody the brand’s signature craftsmanship. Wide arms contribute to the cohesive design, with a gold-toned band extending along the base of each arm for a luxe touch.

4. SZA’s Take On The Classic Aviator

For a classic aviator that still feels unique, consider this chic pair of sunglasses. Featuring the teardrop-shaped lenses and squared-off bridge endemic to the style, this pair comes with the subtle update of tiny, angular, gold-toned accents at the base of each lens. Gradient brown lenses blend with the chocolatey hue of the frames, with slender gold-toned temples to complete the look. These laid-back shades are bound to become a go-to.

5. These Slender Frames With ‘90s Energy

The ‘90’s revival continues to dominate the fashion scene, and this pair of slender frames is an up-to-date take on the trend. The narrow square frames are slightly wider at the outer edges, surrounding smoky brown lenses while gold accents at the temples punch up their otherwise minimal design. Whether paired with black leather or a dainty slip dress, these sunnies can’t miss.

6. A Pair Of Round Frames You’ll Wear With Everything

It’s difficult to imagine an outfit that wouldn’t be improved by the addition of these sunglasses. Flattened off just slightly at the top, the black and gold tones of the delicate round frames makes them sophisticated enough for dressier looks, and minimal enough for everyday T-shirts and denim. Smoky lenses are an edgy counterpoint to the delicate gold-toned temples and nose bridge.

7. These Airy Y2K-Inspired Rimless Sunnies

If Y2K styles are at the top of your shopping list, then these frames are a must. A riff on one of Quay’s signature styles — and crafted with the brand’s signature attention to detail — this pair features an airy rimless design with a slender gold-toned bridge and temples. Whether you’re building an outfit that’s full-on early aughts or simply looking to add a dash of post-’90s influence, this is the pair to do it — and the orange iridescent lenses can take you from day to night.

8. These Edgy Angular Aviators

The pair of sunglasses that can transform any outfit into a look, these aviators update the classic silhouette by keeping the squared-off bridge, and switching out the customary teardrop-shaped frame for an oversized, geometric shape. The angular, edgy design is crafted using Quay’s customary attention to detail — you can’t go wrong with this tortoiseshell version — but other colorways are available if you crave a different twist on this timeless style.
