Just as Kardashian stans and Kim K followers alike were getting used to her long, bleach blonde strands à la Marilyn Monroe, the multi-hyphenate entrepreneur simply stunned as she stepped out in New York City, with her strands chopped into a shoulder-grazing lob haircut. Fitted in a slightly more casual look for the trend-setting star, her colorful Balenciaga body-con leggings met at the small of her back with a plain white tee sweetly tied in a low-key knot. *Immediately Pins to summer 2022 mood board.*

Debuting her bob backstage at The Today Show via her Instagram stories (as well as in the office of Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour), Kim sweetly shared that exactly 5 years ago today, she initially launched her former brand, KKW Beauty (that I still hope makes a serious comeback at some point). Chris Appleton, her longtime hair stylist and color guru, is seen tousling her freshly cut locks — which comes as no surprise considering he is the artist who famously transformed her iconic brunette hair into a show-stopping, Monroe-inspired blonde for this year’s Met Gala (in just 14 hours, no less).

In a world of nearly undetectable extensions and wigs a plenty — let’s hope Kim continues to deliver all of the hair inspo needed this summer, as I’m sure countless beauty lovers will be rushing to their nearest salon.

It seems the major change is coming at the perfect time for the headline-making mogul, as it’s not only officially the first day of summer — but launch day for her highly anticipated skin care brand, aptly named SKKN BY KIM.

The collection features a nine-step routine, and is housed in an array of impossibly chic, architecture-inspired bottles in tonal hues that’s oh so classic Kim. The promise? A new era of skin care, backed by clean ingredients, powerful formulas, and sustainability practices.
