Jessica Chastain Debuted Ice Blonde Hair At The 2023 Met Gala

When it comes to Jessica Chastain, a few things are (almost) always certain: that the A-list actor will opt for Old Hollywood glamour, often with vivid red lipstick, and her signature soft copper strands will surely take centerstage.

Yet just before hitting the 2023 Met Gala red carpet, Chastain took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of her Karl Lagerfeld-inspired look. As for the glam? Well, the stunning beauty was nearly unrecognizable, as she debuted her new hair in a freshly-dyed, bleach-blonde, ice princess-inspired color that no doubt creates an air of cool.

Styled by Renato Campora, the hair guru used Sisley Paris to create smooth, low-key waves.

Using all things Charlotte Tilbury, the celeb-loved makeup artist Kristofer Buckle went for a classic greyscale smoky eye and a muted beige lip to complement the jaw-dropping hair moment. For her look, Chastain opted for a custom black strapless gown and black tulle gloves from Gucci, accessorized with the house’s sunglasses, necklace, and rings.

Chastain wasn’t the first to showcase some daring new strands on the Met’s iconic red carpet — Florence Pugh arrived with a bold shaved head, and Lily James went for a serious chop with some cool-girl micro bangs. And as if that weren’t enough? Doja Cat *literally* dressed as a cat.
