All The Deets Behind Britney Spears' Wedding Day Makeup

The world has been counting down to Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s wedding day ever since the queen of pop and her fitness expert beau announced their engagement back in September 2021 — and even more so in April, when the couple began dropping clues on their Instagrams that indicated they already tied the knot. Well, the time has come: They officially had their wedding day on June 9... so if you’ve been among the millions of fans saying “Gimme More” marriage content, it’s finally here.

Spears and Asghari had their nuptials in their Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles, where the singer wore a stunning Versace gown with a matching choker and veil. As for Spears’ wedding makeup? She collaborated with world-famous celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury to create a rose petal pink look, which was executed with products from the artist’s eponymous beauty line (of course).

On the actual wedding day, Tilbury’s niece Sofia Tilbury, who’s also a makeup artist, stepped in to bring Spears’ bridal look to life using cult favorites like the Magic Cream and a Pillow Talk lip. Tilbury’s goal was to highlight Spears’ big brown eyes, so the makeup artist created a subtle smoky eye, which she complemented with a natural, glowy complexion. “We created a glowy, dreamy, flattering day-to-night look that worked with her dress changes — starting with beautifully radiant skin, adding a soft smoky eye, peachy, glowing cheeks, and of course, the perfect nude-pink bridal lip,” Charlotte Tilbury said in a statement.

For Spears’ complexion, Sofia applied the Beautiful Skin Foundation and Cheek to Chic in Pillow Talk. To play up her eyes, Spears wore the shades from the Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette and the Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes Mascara. And on her lips, she rocked the Lip Cheat liner in Pillow Talk, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, and Collagen Lip Bath gloss in Pillow Talk. Sofia added that a very soft contour — via the Hollywood Contour Wand — was also used to accentuate Spears’ features.

Of course, you can’t get perfect wedding day glam without the right base. To prep Spears’ complexion, Tilbury gifted the star a collection of her skin care essentials to use in the weeks leading up to the big day. These were the Goddess Skin Clay Mask, Goddess Cleansing Ritual, the Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, Collagen Superfusion Facial Oil, Magic Cream, and Cryo-Recovery Mask and Eye Serum.
