Melissa Dahl is the executive lifestyle & wellness director for Bustle Digital Group, working on sites across the lifestyle and parenting groups. In 2023, a package she worked on for Romper won BDG its first ASME.
Previously, she was executive editor at The Cut, and she initially joined New York magazine in 2014 to launch the much-loved health and science vertical, Science of Us. She is also the author of Cringeworthy: A Theory of Awkwardness, published by Penguin Random House in 2018.
Outside of work, she is an enthusiastic distance runner, with five marathons and two ultramarathons under her belt. As of 2023, she is an RRCA-certified running coach. She is also a volunteer communications coordinator for Prospect Park Track Club.
