In her role, she commissions content pertaining to pregnancy, parenting, family life, health and wellness, movies and TV, books, music, home, food, pets, and travel. After graduating with a dual Bachelor’s in English and Communications & Theater, Julie cut her teeth in media as an editorial assistant for Charleston Home + Design Magazine. Within a year, she became editor-in-chief, a role she remained in for five years before shifting full-time into freelance. She then promptly packed up her husband, two children, and two oversized rescue dogs to roll around the U.S. in an RV for three years.

Julie is an award-winning journalist and editor whose bylines you may have seen on Bustle, Romper, HuffPost, USA Today, Yahoo, SheKnows, National Geographic, MSN, and more. She’s also lucky enough to have hammered out copy for major brands along the way, including Target, Levi’s, Land Rover, Keurig, K-Y, Lowe’s, and CMT.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys extolling the virtues of the Oxford comma, being on the water, beating everyone at Mario Kart, and listening to way too many true crime podcasts.
