Jada Gomez is the Executive Editor at Bustle, where she oversees entertainment, lifestyle and books content. She's also the host of Bustle’s podcast, The Bustle Huddle. In addition, she spearheads Bustle's cultural series, including Black & Thriving and I Am. Before Bustle, Jada held positions at TIME, PEOPLE and Latina Magazine. An avid sports fan, she appeared on the sports podcast, He Shoots She Scores, on millennial men’s site, CASSIUS. She earned her bachelor’s degree at New York University, as a pre-med/journalism major. A self-proclaimed Lois Lane by trade and carebear by trait, Jada mentors young people in New York City, centering her advocacy work around literacy initiatives. She’s a devoted dog mom to Lola, who along with Jada, shares a birthday with Barack Obama and Meghan Markle. Thanks to growing up with DJ parents, she’s a music Wikipedia, and can guess the sample of any song. You can follow Jada on Twitter @jadagomez, and her writing in the stories below.
