Abby Lebet (they/them) is a Manager of Editorial Operations at BDG, working across Bustle, Elite Daily, NYLON, TZR, and more. An Adobe-certified freelance graphic designer and occasional contributing writer, Abby loves everything fashion-related and spends most of their free time staring into their closet deliberating on what to wear.
Unceremoniously, Abby graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2020 with degrees in Mass Communication (BS) and Spanish (BA). They worked extensively with the university’s radio station during their time as a student; they held a leadership role on the executive board, served as editor-in-chief of the station’s affiliated music zine, The Beat, and was a DJ on two radio shows. Abby also supported multiple advertising seminars as a teaching assistant at Boston University’s College of Communication over the course of two years, all in addition to their dual degree studies.
Prior to their role at BDG, Abby led social strategy at an international women-centered nonprofit based in Philadelphia, where they increased its social media presence and engagement by nearly +300%. They were subsequently promoted to the position of Marketing and Operations Manager at the organization, where they worked directly under the president and founder. (Basically, they dabble in a little bit of everything.)
The briefest conversation with Abby will reveal that they are a proud New Jerseyan, hailing from a small town just outside of Montclair. They currently reside in New York City, where you can find them diving headfirst into bowls of pasta, sifting through designer consignment stores, and spending time with their girlfriend and adopted pup, Kiwi.
