Michelle Williams & Busy Philipps Are BFF Goals

Now that award season has come back around, I love finding out who the nominees choose to bring as their dates. Sometimes, it's their spouse, a sibling, or a parent... and sometimes, it's their best friend. So why did Michelle Williams bring Busy Philipps to the 2017 Oscars? They have a longstanding tradition of taking on the red carpet as a team, and since they've been friends since filming Dawson's Creek together over a decade ago, it's no surprise that Williams would want to keep one of the most important people in her life by her side on such an important night.

In fact, the Oscars aren't even the first award show that these two have attended together this year, let alone in the lengthy history of their friendship. Last month, Williams and Philipps attended the 2017 Golden Globes together, and based on the resulting Instagram pics, it looked like they had a blast, so I'm glad to see that they're back at it again.

Besides, they look super cute when they arrive together. And as far as she's let on publicly, it doesn't seem that Williams is in a relationship at the moment, so why not bring her best friend along?

And as a longtime Dawson's Creek fan, there's nothing better than seeing Jen and Audrey keeping the love alive. How sweet is it that Philipps is always there to support Williams, especially on a night like this where she's up for so many awards?
