Twitter Thinks Miss Ireland Looks Exactly Like Reese Witherspoon & Honestly It's Kind Of Creepy

If you happened to watch the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, then you may have recognized a familiar face in the crowd of contestants on stage. Yes, there was the always gorgeous Miss USA, as well as the ever popular Miss Thailand and Miss Philippines. But you also may have spotted a certain blonde haired woman from Ireland who was Reese Witherspoon's twin. Like, in a complete, doppelgänger, creepy kind of way.

The celebrity lookalike? Cailín Áine Ní Toibín, the 23-year-old contestant from Ireland who made it into the top 16, along with three fellow European contestants — Miss Spain, Miss Great Britain, and Miss Croatia. The moment host Steve Harvey announced her name, it took Twitter all of about five seconds to make the connection, before taking to the internet to rave about how much she looked like the Oscar-winning actress.

It's pretty easy to spot a few similarities. But let's go ahead and break it down, and try to figure out what, exactly, makes these two women so perfectly identical. First, there's the hair. Reese Witherspoon, who is well-known for her role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, is all about her fair locks. And Toibín has obviously got that down, too.

Next, there's Toibín's smile. It's so very Reese! The actress has got that pearly white Hollywood thing going on. And so does the Irish contestant. (Their teeth are even kind of the same shape, which just adds to the weirdness.)

And then, of course, there's that famous Reese jawline, as well as her heart-shaped face. Toibín is cut from the exact same cloth, with an equally heart-shaped mug. The list goes on and on from there, with the two women sharing other similar physical qualities, and even an effervescent, happy attitude.

Creepy, right!? Twitter, and the world, thought so, too. Here are some of the reactions that poured forth, the moment Toibín took the stage.

First, there were the Elle Woods comparisons, probably all thanks to that famous blonde hair.

Some immediately claimed she looked just like Reese.

Others said she was Reese. (Or at least a long lost twin?)

The comparisons kept rolling in.

And some even jokingly speculated that Reese might have a side gig as a pageant contestant.

See what I mean? So many people saw the similarities, that it was hard not to notice with all the dozens of Twitter reactions. But if you're still not convinced, here's a side-by-side of the two women.

Reese? Is that you? Toibín posts a lot of fun selfies like this one to her Instagram page, much like Reese, and it's tough not to see similar qualities in each.

Even without that signature red lip, Miss Ireland's look still screams "Reese." Of course, the two women have got their own, unique thing going on. But I think we can all agree... if they met in real life, passers by would definitely do a double take.

Sadly, Miss Ireland didn't make it into the top 10. But she'll be forever loved as the Miss Universe contestant who looked just like Reese Witherspoon. She may even have a future gig as a double for the actress, when she's not too busy working in Ireland, snagging pageant titles, and walking across stages in Las Vegas.
