'Big Brother 19' Features A "Fitness Superstar"
Nothing marks the official start of summer quite like Big Brother. Unfortunately the show hasn't started yet, but we are one step closer since the upcoming cast has just been announced. We still have to wait to meet the contestants on the actual show, but until then we can check out their bios and social media stalk. And if you don't want to do that yourself, I've got you covered with the snooping. For now, lets take a look at Big Brother 19 contestant Christmas Abbott.
I mean, how can you not be curious about a woman named Christmas? I was immediately intrigued. Plus, her bio from CBS' press release lists her occupation as "Fitness Superstar," which is a pretty ambitious job title. You never know what you're going to get with a fitness enthusiast (let alone a superstar). Most of the time these are encouraging individuals who bring out the best in everyone around them, but there are those on the extreme end who can be way too much to handle. I hate being a hater, but if you have social media or watch reality TV, you know must know what I'm saying — it can be a real hit or miss.
I can't wait to see what Christmas is like in the house and how open she is about her career and athletic abilities. She might end up putting a big target on her back as major threat in the physical competitions. Hopefully she plays it smart when it comes to revealing her fitness prowess.
1. She Is A Virginia Native
According to Christmas' Big Brother bio, the 35-yea-=old contestant is originally from Lynchburg, Virginia and she currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
2. She Does Just About Everything
According to her official website, Christmas is a "professional athlete, branding advisor, transformational guru, and motivational speaker." Within those four categories, she listed even more specifics including her roles as a CrossFit Games competitor, Olympic Weightlifter, NASCAR Pit Crew, fitness coach, author — I could go on and on based on this lengthy list.
3. She Is A Proud Dog Mom
In her CBS interview, Christmas said she would take her English Bulldog Fran into the house because "she's [her] best friend." Aww. How pawfect.
4. She Is Ready to Sway The House
When asked to describe herself with three adjectives, Christmas chose "committed, happy, and influential." Actually being "influential" in the Big Brother house is no small feat. If she gets into a position of power, she needs to do so wisely and discretely.
5. She Enjoys Christmas
Duh. This is pretty much a given considering that she is named Christmas. Still, it should be noted that aside from fitness content and posts about her dog, the only thing left on her Instagram are holiday photos.
6. She Values Her Alone Time
I don't blame Christmas for this one, but I don't know if this is the show for her. When asked what she thinks will be the hardest part about living inside the Big Brother house, Christmas shared, "Lack of privacy. I actually enjoy a lot of alone time and I don’t believe I will get." Nope. With all of the roomies, the TV show, and the live internet feed, alone time will be a thing of the past.
7. She Plans To Stay Under The Radar
This is always a good strategy in the game, but it's easier said than done. Christmas described the key to her strategy by saying she plans to "use my ability to read personalities and know what people need emotionally so I can almost be a mentor. I will also stay under the radar as a threat or drama queen. The physical and mental games are the easy parts." I guess we will see if she is able to pull this off.
8. She Is Creepy
No, I'm not being rude. She said in her bio, "I love being creepy" as one of her fun facts. What does that even mean? Guess we'll find out.
At this point we know that Christmas is good at a lot of things. Ideally this means that she is a lock to win the competitions, but sometimes being a superstar can put a target on your back more than it can actually protect you in this game. Hopefully Christmas plays it smart and keeps some of her abilities on the low.
