Chrissy Teigen's Mom Is The Best On Social Media

Having your mom on social media can be a blessing and a curse. God forbid she leaves an embarrassing comment with your childhood nickname or tags you in an unflattering photo that she thinks is just too cute for words. Fortunately, for model Chrissy Teigen, her mother Vilailuck Teigen is just as outspoken, endearing, and yes, motherly as she is online. But who is the lovely lady behind the Cravings author?

Well, aside from racking up 128 thousand Instagram followers (and growing), the homemaker from Korat, Thailand is a food aficionado just like her daughter. Vilailuck shares tons of delicious dishes she whips up in the kitchen with Chrissy. From traditional Thai meals such as tom yum soup and pad thai to indulging in chicken wings and meatballs, Vilailuck obviously showed her daughter the ropes.

Unsurprisingly, when it comes to Chrissy unfiltered and effortless clapbacks at her haters, you guessed it, she gets her wit from her mama. Vilailuck told People magazine in 2014 that while she was used to holding her tongue back in Thailand, she's proud and encouraging of Chrissy for being unapologetic online. "In Thai culture, there are lots of things that you’re not supposed to say," Vilailuck said. "I really want to say them, but I can’t. But then when she does it, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, that’s what I want to say!"

When she isn't cooking up a storm, Vilailuck is a doting grandma to baby Chrissy's daughter, Luna, and watches after her dogs, Puddy, Pippa, and Penny. Since she lives with Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, she takes it upon herself to document all of Luna's firsts from playing in the grass to blowing kisses. Vilailuck also travels with the her daughter with Luna in tow.

From joining Chrissy on set at her photoshoots to flying in private jets, Vilailuck is living the high life.
