Wine Lovers Everywhere Need This 'Shark Tank' Product
It's the worst to come home on a Friday night after a long week at work and realize you forgot to put a bottle of wine in the fridge before you left. Ugh. Because let's face it, nothing is worse than drinking a glass of warm wine, especially when it's warm out. If you've ever found yourself in this situation you know how aggravating it is to have to wait for the bottle to chill. It's as if time moves even slower the longer you wait and by the time the bottle's ready for you, you're lucky if you aren't already asleep on the couch. Fortunately, this won't be the case anymore. Thanks to a genius device called ProntoBev, featured on ABC's Shark Tank, you can chill your favorite bottle of rosé in 30 seconds flat. So where can you buy ProntoBev from?
According to the product's website, ProntoBev can chill any beverage including wine, whiskey, and vodka to 20 degrees Fahrenheit in 30 seconds. That's less time than it takes you to open Twitter and tweet about how awesome it is. Using a built-in thermometer, the ProntoBev allows users to achieve a specific temperature for their favorite drinks in a way that's completely user friendly. Effectively a cooling jug, the device's interior is made of wine-grade stainless steel, which means you won’t change the flavor of your drink by using the device.
To use, simply place the device in the freezer for an hour or more (like the night before or while you're getting ready to pregame). Then remove the ProntoBev and pour your bottle contents into the larger opening. Let it sit for 30 seconds, then pour the liquid out of the smaller opening and back into the wine bottle. Voila! The perfect drink to celebrate the weekend chilled to your heart's desire.
According to the Shark Tank website, founder and CEO of Pronto Concepts, Alexander Simone, got the idea for ProntoBev after searching for a way to instantly chill wine without watering it down with annoying ice cubes. After plenty of trial and error, he developed the ProntoBev and launched an Indiegogo campaign to bring it to life. The drink appliance caught the attention of wine-loving millennials and expert connoisseurs through it's crowdfunding campaign and has since raised more than $60,000 from pre-orders.
And don't worry about ProntoBev overflowing either. With a capacity of 750 milliliters, users can easily fit an entire bottle of wine into the device without any problems. Plus, ProntoBev is dishwasher safe. Best of all, if you're not entirely sure just how chilled your red wine should be compared to the white or vice versa, the ProntoConcepts website lists the ideal chill temperature for every type of wine, along with information on the correct pronunciations, flavor profiles and price ranges.
Although with a $100 price tag ProntoBev can seem like a complete waste of money for anyone who doesn't love wine. But it can do more than just chill alcoholic beverages. In fact, it could work for tea and coffee lovers alike. Using the same freeze-pour-chill method, users can quickly make iced coffee or iced tea, without using ice cubes. Same thing goes for juice. Now the only question I have is: where was this when my Starbucks drink melted before I even hit the corner?
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until June 2018 for the ProntoBev to be released. But it's early buzz shows that it will most likely be a hit, making ice cubes and buckets a thing of the past. Now cheers to hoping the Sharks feel the same way on Nov. 12.
