Chrissy Teigen Is Pregnant & Her Daughter Made The Adorable Announcement

AnIn some very happy, very cute news, Chrissy Teigen is pregnant with her second child with husband John Legend. Teigen's daughter, Luna, helped make the announcement in a video the model posted to Instagram. With the news that yet another adorable baby will be popping up in her Instagram posts, fans might be wondering when Chrissy Teigen's second child is due. (Bustle reached out to Teigen's rep for comment.)

UPDATE: Teigen confirmed on the Monday, Feb. 19 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her second baby is due in June.

EARLIER: While Teigen hasn't revealed the baby's due date, it seems reasonable to assume Luna's younger sibling will be born at some point next year. That prediction not specific enough? Is it far too obvious? OK, fair enough. Here's another one: Traditionally, expectant mothers wait until they're past the first trimester to share the news, and if that's indeed the case here, then the baby would be due around May or June. But again, that's just a guess based on convention plus the timing of this Instagram video. Teigs and Legend could've opted to wait a while after the 12-week mark to let the world know that they're going to have another kid. No matter what, this news couldn't be more exciting. And that is an objective fact.

Oh, and here's another truth that cannot be disputed: Luna's announcement is beyond precious. Prepare your heart accordingly.

While the sex of the baby has yet to be confirmed, there's a solid chance Luna's going to have a little brother. Back in January, Teigen told Entertainment Tonight at the Annual Producers Guild Awards that "a little boy is next for sure." The model, who has been so open about her fertility struggles and IVF over the years, hopped on Twitter to elaborate the next day. She wrote,

"Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah."

She added, "And no, I am not pregnant."

Fast-forward to a few months later, and Teigen is pregnant again. And she sure did come up with a sweet way to let everyone in on the good news. In the Insta video, Teigen points to her stomach and asks Luna what's in there. Without missing a beat, she replies, "Baby."

Teigen and Legend welcomed Luna to the world on April 14, 2016, and now, their family of three is about to grow. For years, the best-selling cookbook author has been candid about wanting to have a bunch of children. For example, she told Self magazine in 2016 that she thinks she'll "probably be pregnant all through [her] 30s." She added,

"I've always pictured everyone around the table for the holidays and together once a week. It'll be heartbreaking if it doesn't end up happening, but hopefully it will. We've got some embryos on hold."

And Legend has been open about the subject, too. When E! News asked him about having more kids at the 2017 Annual NAACP Image Awards, the award-winning recording artist replied,

"We want to have more. We had a hard time doing it ourselves, so we got some help. It resulted in Luna and hopefully it will result in a couple more kids in the future."

In the November 2017 issue of InStyle, Teigen explained that out of the 20 embryos she'd extracted when she underwent fertility treatments, she and her husband narrowed it down to three that "you know are going to be good for your body." She said the first "didn't work, and then the second is Luna." The third, she revealed, would be transferred to her womb sometime in the near future.
