Sigma Beauty's 3DHD Blender Will Be Here Soon
If you're a makeup brush aficionado, the chances are good that you've heard about the highly anticipated Sigma Beauty 3DHD Blender, a new sponge from beauty insider favorite brand Sigma Beauty. The cosmetics company is known for its insanely popular brush collection, but this new product is the company's first foray into blending sponges. Luckily you won't have to wait too long to try it out — the 3DHD Blender officially launches Feb. 27, and you can sign up on the waiting list now on the Sigma Beauty website.
The 3DHD Blender is interesting mostly because of its shape — I promise you haven't seen a makeup sponge that looks like this. Its pointed edges and flat surfaces are perfect for applying makeup in hard-to-reach places. The shape is actually strikingly similar to Sigma's 3DHD Kabuki brush, which was the inspiration behind the new blending sponge according to Sigma Beauty founder Simone Xavier.
“When using a regular sponge, I have always encountered challenges — such as applying foundation around my brows and lips, or not being able to reach the sides of my nose,” Xavier says. “I have also observed many users 'pinch' their rounded beauty sponges to try to get the edges they needed for a more precise makeup application." She mimicked the brush's shape for the blender, and the rest was history.

Doesn't the shape look cool? It's different than any blending sponge that I've ever seen.

It also comes in black, which is perfect if your sponge collection is already full of pink ones.
