With a new season come updated fashions, including upgrades of an existing, already popular styles. The Puma x Fenty Creepers by Rihanna were the shoe of 2016. They came in suede and velvet iterations at various points during their reign last year, often causing a shopping frenzy that left sneaker lovers shook.
The Spring 2017 edition of the Rihanna Puma Creepers featured fresh materials — leather, both cracked and smooth, as opposed to suede. And now, the Fall 2017 Puma x Fenty Cleated Creepers have a news design you need to see.
What's different about the new creepers, you ask? The shoe is back with a stacked and cleated sole. This platform sneaker is getting an additional boost.
The new suede cleated creepers will be available in black and tan, and will go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT via the Puma site, Puma retailers, and other affiliate locations.
The creeper will also come in an ankle strap version. However, the drop date for that is TBD, per Puma PR.
The cleated creeper is available in both men's and women's sizing. The sole is chunkier and it looks like that of a baseball cleat — because duh — but more fashion-y.

The cleated creeper has additional lift, which gives it a bit of a bootie aesthetic.
This isn't a case of "It wasn't broke, so why are they fixing it?" This is a case of fashion evolution, of experimenting with new silhouettes, and of keeping fans excited about new kicks.
It's still the creeper you know and love, only with an elevated twist.
This version of the creeper is the ultimate in athleisure. You can pair 'em with leggings, skinnies, a leather mini, sweats, a dress — whatever.
