Kylie Cosmetics' Velvet Lip Kits Have A New Feel

In case you missed the big reveal, let me fill you in. According to Kylie Jenner's Snapchat announcement, Kylie Cosmetics created a new Lip Kit formula. This time it's not just about the shades, it's that plus a brand new feel. How are the original and Velvet Kylie Lip Kits different, you ask? This is the brand's third formula and it's breaking into new lippie territory. Here's everything you need to know before launch day, which is arriving fast.

Some of Jenner's fans haven't even gotten their hands on the Kylighters yet and she's surprising them with a brand new Lip Kit. This time is a bit different though. Instead of just launching a new shade, she's launching a brand new formula. The big difference is that the Velvet Lip Kits are a cream, non-drying texture, rather than the typical mattes. According to the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram post, they're "creamy, smooth, non-drying, pigmented liquid lipsticks."

Although the announcement wasn't as big as the Glosses music video launch, this is still just as exciting. Now you'll be able to choose from a matte, glossy, or satin lip. According to Kylie Cosmetics' Instagram, the Velvet Lip Kits are launching in four shades — Charmed, Harmony, Dazzle, and Rosy. All are neutral, rose-toned shades. None of them match the the original Lip Kit shades, but I'm willing to bet that the brand will launch some of their bestselling shades in the new formula soon.

You don't have much longer to wait for the new formula either. According to social media, the Velvet Lip Kits will be available on March 16 at 6 p.m. ET on the Kylie Cosmetics website. Although the brand didn't announce exactly how much each Velvet Lip Kit will be, I'd imagine that they'll be the same price as the original Lip Kits.

The only thing that Jenner didn't show off on social media was the lip liners, but the packaging says that the Velvet Lip Kits will come with a liquid lipstick and liner as well. Bustle reached out to the brand, just to make sure.
