There's never a dull moment in the beauty world when a new beauty launch is announced on the daily, and on Thursday fans got a little bit of extra news about the Alexis Ren x ColourPop collaboration. As it turns out, this new collaboration isn't just a collection of Ren-curated prodcuts. Excitingly, it features a completely new lip formulation, the new ColourPop pressed powder formulas in a highlighting and bronzing palette, one new ultra matte, and one ultra satin lip. This six piece collection is sure to be bomb, and the fact that it's stocked full of all new products and a new lippie formula convinces me that it'll be hard not to love.
You may be asking who Alexis Ren is, but the truth is that you've probably already seen her. If you're a fan of the Chainsmokers, she's got the starring role in their latest music for "Paris," and she's a star over on Instagram with 7.7 million followers thanks to her #goal worthy beachside photos. She's clearly a rising star, and the ColourPop collab makes total sense as a next move for the model.
As for what's in Alexis Ren x ColourPop, the most exciting member of the collection — though, it's all super exciting — may be the new lip formula. ColourPop is known for their amazing, highly pigmented Ultra Matte Lips, Matte X lipsticks, Ultra Satin Lips, and Lippie Stix. Now, the Blotted Lips are here. The new formula is more sheer than their existing lippies and gives a tinted look to the lip — perfect for those beach images of Alexis's, right?
The Blotted Lip will come in three shades: Lexi, Deja Vu, and Exotic. Lexi is set to be a matte red. Deju Vu falls into the realm of nude pinks, and Exotic is an orange red. Basically, there's a blotted lip for everyone.
As for the new pressed powder highlighter and bronzer, those will come in the Topaz Pressed Powder Highlighter/Bronzer Duo Palette. The bronzer shade of Golden Moment will give a gorgeous natural bronze while She's Here To Stay — the highlighting shade — will give you a stunning glow.
The last bit of the collab features some ColourPop staples, because let's be honest, you can't go wrong with those bomb formulas of the Ultra Matte Lip and Ultra Satin Lip. Ren's shades will be a Ultra Matte Lip in Little Weapon — a red-orange hue — and Bare Necessities — a pink nude Ultra Stain Lip.
Fans of Ren seem to be stoked about the collab already even if no swatches have happened yet.
Knowing ColourPop, though, swatches will probably coming soon. The collab is set to release Feb 3, so there's a great chance you'll get a peek soon.
Until the Alexis Ren x ColourPop collab releases, though, fans will just have to imaging what this stunning model has in store for both her supporters and lovers of ColourPop. With new formulas, products, and colors, it's going to be stellar.
