Before June's Bachelor In Paradise scandal thrust him to the center of headlines, DeMario Jackson was just a Bachelorette contestant like any other. He initially seemed like a promising contender on the quest for Rachel Lindsay's heart, but when his alleged ex-girlfriend showed up and claimed he'd never broken up with her before joining the show, he was swiftly sent packing (he denied her claims during the episode). Viewers should be familiar with some of the drama that's trailed him, but what is DeMario doing now, after things have quieted down?
First, a quick recap for those still catching up. After DeMario left The Bachelorette, he joined the Season 4 cast of Bachelor In Paradise. During filming, however, a crew member raised concerns about alleged sexual misconduct between Jackson and Corinne Olympios, who appeared on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor last winter, and production was temporarily suspended while the network investigated the incident. DeMario repeatedly denied the claims, and Warner Bros. found no evidence of misconduct. After Olympios' lawyers concluded their own investigation, Olympios released a statement saying she was satisfied with the outcome. Both Jackson and Olympios declined to return for the remainder of the Bachelor In Paradise season, but have confirmed they will appear on the reunion special.
In the wake of the controversy, Jackson claimed to Inside Edition that he lost his job as a recruiting consultant due to the allegations. He later gave an extensive interview to E! News detailing the alleged effects the accusations have had on his life, in which he also claimed the drama with his Bachelorette ex-girlfriend was fake. (ABC declined to comment on his claims about his alleged ex-girlfriend.)
Jackson has seemingly pulled back from the media since then, but according to TMZ, is reportedly being considered for a spot on Dancing With the Stars. Outside of that, his LinkedIn profile still lists him as an executive recruiter (though not with any specific company), and he's been quite busy traveling the world: Recent Instagram photos show him at the Rome Colosseum and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Based on their Twitter interactions, he also appears to still be close to Bachelor alum and fellow BiP castmate Alexis Waters, whom he said in the same E! interview that he'd consider going back to Bachelor In Paradise for. And he doesn't seem to harbor any hard feelings for Lindsay or Olympios. When a fan commented on a recent Instagram post to ask if he'd "diss Corn or Rachel," Jackson responded, "No disses! Only love from me.. I'll leave the disses to the trolls."
For now, there's not much information about what Jackson has planned for the future, but we'll likely know more after his appearance on The Men Tell All Monday night.
