I have good news and I have bad news, all you Kylie Cosmetics obsessives. Here is the good news: The 2017 Kylie Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection is restocking on Monday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Previously, the brand sorta teased that the Kylie Valentine's Day collection might be a one-time-only drop, indicating that it would not be restocked. But here is the caveat: Only one item in the mid-sized collection is coming back. Which Kylie Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection item is going back on sale?
The Mini Matte set is enjoying an encore.
The $36 collection of six mini liquid lipsticks in matte texture returns for one more round via the brand's site, which is its sales platform.
The brand did acknowledge that it previously suggested that the collection would only have one drop. But the Mini Mattes are soooo popular.
It's worth noting that the Mini Matte sets have been featured as part of the brand's special collections — this one, the 2016 Birthday Edition Collection, and the 2016 Holiday Edition Collection. They sell out right away, every time.
Clearly, the Mini Matte sets are hits since they allow makeup fans and matte lip lovers to sample a variety of shades at an attractive price.
Since the matte liquid lippies are the brand's hero product and are long-lasting, this set is a steal.
This Mini Matte set features three brand new shades and three classics shades that have have already been available as part of the permanent Kylie Lip Kit lineup with lip liners.
The new guys are Apricot, High Maintenance, and Head Over Heels. HOH was actually produced as a full-sized Lip Kit in the V Day range. The other two were not.
The "classic" shades that have been translated into minis with red packaging for this set are Maliboo, Posie K, and Mary Jo K.
Another amazing thing about the Mini Mattes is that you don't have to commit, you can trade shades you don't like with fellow makeup maniacs. Or you can mix and matte shades for an ombre look. Or you can change your lip color every day.
BTW, here is the post where the brand hinted that the Valentine's Day range would be a one-time launch. Noting it "may" be your only chance left room for hope, which has now been satisfied with the return of the Mini Mattes.
