If there's one thing that Vanessa Hudgens has taught us, it's the power of a strong hair transformation. Hudgens' new waist length hair is a strong moment in her hair history — even if it is all extensions.

But before we dissect the awesomeness of her butt-skimming waves, let's look back at the frequency with which she's changed up her look in 2017 alone. From rocking a short bob, to changing her look into a lob with dramatic blunt bangs, she's not afraid to drastically change her aesthetics. Her fearless approach is inspiring — rather than being scared of what a new hairdo can do to our appearance, we should embrace it as experimentally — after all, it's just hair, right?

Her new insanely long hair is just another moment of greatness. According to Allure, "Hudgens went to Nine Zero Salon in West Hollywood, California, and walked out with mermaid-length hair. Riawna Capri, celebrity hairstylist and co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon, created Hudgens’s new look along with salon co-owner Nikki Lee, and we have to admit that Hudgens looks smoking hot with her new waist-length hair."

So is the new 'do something she decided to do on a weekend because she was bored? Her caption hints that it might be for an upcoming role or photo shoot. Underneath her image she wrote, "Hair for the next 🎥🎥😍," hinting that there was a purpose behind the change. But just because she was ordered into the salon doesn't mean the look might not stay awhile.

With the upcoming spring season, long hair is usually coaxed into amazing braids, crowns, and fun up-dos that a lob just can't achieve, so who is to say she won't keep the extensions in. Or as Allure pointed out, Coachella is right around the corner and the actress is known to let her bohemian tresses out for the event. "Hudgens wore long, wavy hair to Indio, California, last April, so there’s a pretty good chance she’s going the whole nine yards again this year," Allure reported.

No matter if she keeps it for a day or for a couple of months, she's still definitely instilling some major hair envy. We wouldn't blame you if you started growing yours out ASAP.
