Tinder Is Offering LGBTQ Couples A Dream Wedding During Pride Month

by Lea Rose Emery

If you're an LGBTQ Tinder success story, it's time to start sharing it with the world. Because Tinder is celebrating Pride Month with a huge prize for one lucky LGBTQ couple — how does a $100,000 wedding sound?

"As far as dream weddings go, $100,000 will take you pretty far. That’s why Tinder is celebrating Pride Month by offering one lucky LGBTQ couple $100,000 to fund their #TinderSuccessStory wedding," a Tinder press release explains. "Couples are encouraged to enter the contest by posting an adorable #couplespic to Instagram using #TinderSuccessStory and tagging @Tinder, along with a description of their success story for the chance to win."

That's a pretty effing amazing prize. The entries will be judged on originality, presentation, emotional impact, and relevance to the Pride theme — and all criteria will have equal weight. So get ready to see some pretty amazing love stories (and probably a few tear-jerkers).

I think it's great. As a bisexual woman, I really liked using it. I respect the fact that there's no option to screen out bisexuals (it happens on some apps, trust) and it was a great way to meet women who were interested in women, something that just didn't happen in my social circle. Maybe I'm biased, because almost two years later my girlfriend and I are still going strong, but Tinder was great for my queer relationship.

So if you've had a #TinderSuccessStory, it's time to start sharing. Not only to celebrate Pride — though it's a great way to do it — but also because the prize is amazing. So get hashtagging, people.
