This Model's Skin Care Routine Is Going Viral After It Completely Cured Her Acne
There are hundreds of thousands of products out there that claim to give you better skin. It turns out that the best ones might be hiding in your fridge. As Allure found, a model's all-natural acne cure is going viral for a great reason. Not only did her simple, everyday products completely clear her skin, but she's sharing every single detail with her followers.
As soon as model Brianna Lopez posted photos of her skincare transformation, people were dying to know one thing: literally how? One photo showed her skin, as she describes it in the post, at its worst and the other, on the right, her now. The model goes from having cystic acne and scarring to almost completely clear skin in just six months. Naturally people were interested to see what she used.
Lopez followed up her transformation photo with a slew of photos sharing every single step of her skincare routine. Incredible people do exist in this world. According to the Instagram post, everything she used was all-natural. It's a mix of jojoba oil cleanser, a honey, cinnamon, and turmeric mask, lavender oil, and raw shea butter. for spot treating.
"I'm not saying that everyone has to do this to have decent skin," Lopez's Instagram post reads. "Commercial products may work for some people. But it didn't for me. Just made things worse."
Just to clarify, Lopez is not a medical professional. Although she is studying to be a nutritionist, according to her Instagram, that still doesn't mean that these tip will work for everyone.
Acne is something that unites much of the beauty community. According to Nu Skin, 60 million American deal with acne, with 20 percent of them being adults. As Lopez touches on, it's not all about having to look perfect, but it does play a role in people's confidence and can sometime even be physically painful.
"There are worse things that can happen to you in life than acne. But getting acne takes a really big toll on your life," Lopez's caption reads. "I'm willing to answer any questions anyone might have. Just needed to get this out there because it is apart [sic] of who I am and my story."
Lopez's transformation photo has almost 10,000 likes, while her step-by-step instructions has 16,000. Basically, a whole lot of people are thankful for her tips. While Lopez champions the all-natural ingredients and herbs for her transformation, she also has a few recommendations for people looking to buy instead.
The model chose to start a YouTube page to answer some frequently asked questions. As she says in her first video, it's easier to make one answer than reply to each person's question individually posted on social media. She has over 700 comments on one post and over 800 on the other, so this is a great alternative.
According to her YouTube video, which is the first on her new page, Lopez uses a handful of store-bought items, too. The products range from aloe vera gel to a special cream. She even gives the exact honey and turmeric that she mentions in the post.
It's unclear whether or not Lopez will continue to share her skin tips on social media. Bustle has reached out for comment.
Bless her for being so open about her skincare journey.
