This Lucky Couple Got Married At Taco Bell & Now You Can Too
Taco Bell announced a dream come true for all crunch wrap supreme lovers in February: Taco Bell's Las Vegas Cantina flagship would be available for weddings. Not only that but the fast food haven held a contest for one lucky couple to be flown out to Las Vegas to be the inaugural wedding. To enter, couples had to post a picture or video to Instagram or Twitter with #loveandtacoscontest. The post had to explain how Taco Bell played into their love story. Well, on Sunday, June 25 the winning couple's dream came true as Dan and Bianca said "I do" at the Taco Bell Las Vegas Cantina location.
Dan and Bianca submitted a video explaining their love for Taco Bell. Dan explained that he has spent a great deal of time spreading his love and appreciation for Taco Bell. When he turned 32, Bianca even took him to a Taco Bell on the beach. The couple's mutual love for Taco Bell must have struck a cord and they were chosen as the winners.
So what did Bianca and Dan get as part of their Taco Bell wedding? Being the first couple to get married at Taco Bell, while a great feat, was only one of their prizes. Bianca and Dan received airfare for six to Las Vegas, Taco Bell merchandise, professional wedding photography/videography, a room at Planet Hollywood to stay during their time in Las Vegas, a Taco Bell catered wedding and more.
While this wedding might be over, the marital fun is just getting started at Taco Bell Las Vegas. Starting August 7, any couple can get married at Taco Bell Las Vegas. "We have never done anything like this before," Taco Bell spokesperson Alec Boyle tells Bustle. "It is a true first for us, and we are excited to see the reaction from our biggest fans when we put weddings on the menu board at our flagship Las Vegas Cantina starting August 7. Based on the buzz we’re hearing from our fans thus far, we’re looking forward to helping many more eager couples tie the knot and have Taco Bell be part of their big day."
How, you wonder as you pack your bags? All you need is a marriage license and $600. Interested couples with both can walk into Taco Bell and order a marriage right off the menu. It'll include a ceremony inside the restaurants chapel, which is ready in as little as four hours, an ordained official, a private reception area that fits up to 15 people, along with custom merchandise. "We took traditional elements of a wedding and put our Taco Bell twist on them, providing a $600 package that will include a Taco Bell garter, bow tie, Sauce Packet wedding bouquet, “Just Married” t-shirts, Taco Bell champagne flutes, a Cinnabon Delights Wedding Cake and of course, a Taco 12 Pack," Boyle says.
Considering how much weddings normally cost, the Taco Bell wedding is a pretty great deal. If your heart is as made up as this guy, a Taco Bell wedding might be something to consider.
Theme weddings are a fun way to make your wedding a little more interesting and memorable. "We have known for years that some of our most creative fans have been incorporating Taco Bell into their love stories — from sauce packet proposals to couples catering their wedding parties and afterparties with Taco Bell," Boyle says. "Not to mention, we recognize that personal, unique wedding experience are becoming all the more important to today’s brides and grooms." Plus, with Taco Bell as the theme, it will be a lot more delicious too. Below are all the post-wedding tacos Dan and Bianca shared.
While Dan and Bianca were the contest winners, Taco Bell was so impressed with the nine other finalists that the company has offered to foot the $600 bill if any of them come out to Las Vegas— a pretty great offer.
If you and your fiancée love Taco Bell, their wedding special could give you it all: A destination wedding at your favorite place. "We can’t wait to see more fans say “I do” and include Taco Bell as part of their love story," Boyle says.
Besides the risk of hot sauce on your white dress, I see few downsides to this. Start the rest of your life together at Taco Bell, because why not?
