How To Make Butterbeer Lip Balm

This Butterbeer Lip Balm will have you tasting that butterbeer flavor all day long. I don’t know a better way to feel Potter-tastic than that. So whenever you find yourself wishing for the sweet treats in Hogsmeade, just pull out your Butterbeer Lip Balm and picture yourself at the Three Broomsticks with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

What You Need

  • 1 tablespoon beeswax (You can use either the grated stuff or pellets. I usually order mine online.)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 5–7 butterscotch chips (found in the baking aisle at your local supermarket)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (found in the organic section of your local supermarket)
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 3–5 lip balm containers (I like the little clear pots so you can see your lip balm, but you can also use the clear tubes.)

Step One:

Add the beeswax, honey, butterscotch chips, and coconut oil to a small bowl.

Step Two:

Melt the ingredients in the microwave in 15-second increments. Pull out in between and stir the mixture with a spoon. When everything is melted together, with no lumps, you’re ready to move on to the next step.

Step Three:

When your ingredients have all melted together, slowly pour your mixture into the lip balm containers and set aside to cool for 15–20 minutes or until the mixture has hardened.

Step Four:

Once the mixture has hardened, put the lid on your Butterbeer Lip Balm and start using immediately! If you’d like, you can give the others out to all your friends or store in a cool cabinet for up to 6 months!
