Linda Furiate, a consulting Astrologer, Healthy Habits Expert, Reiki I&II, Inspirational Guide, and the founder of Of Universal Mind, agrees that there are many benefits from dating your opposite sign. "Overall, our interaction with another brings out qualities and traits that we may like or dislike about our own personality," Furiate tells Bustle. "Just like with the full moon when the Sun and Moon are opposite one another, the moon is fully illuminated. With two signs opposite one another, this sense of fullness and light allows us to see within ourselves — the good and not-so-'good.' If we want to learn the most about ourselves, or bring out apparent qualities that we feel we may lack, it may be quite beneficial to be with someone who is the opposite sign."
