Why aren't Chris Evans and Jenny Slate still a couple? I get that sometimes things don't work out for two people, but the way these Gifted co-stars speak about one another post-break up is so wonderful that it's mind-boggling they aren't running down the aisle to say "I do." While chatting with People about their 2017 film, Chris Evans praised Jenny Slate with some of the most beautifully poetic words you have ever heard.

First and foremost, Evans described Slate as follows: "She’s my favorite human. She’s the best." I mean, come on. The fact that he can genuinely say those things even after they split speaks volumes. Talk about holding respect for someone you once were involved with romantically.

He then continued to gush about the language Slate uses. The Captain America star said,

"I’ve never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does. She’ll give you one sentence and there’s no fat to it. You’re like, 'You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.'"

He didn't stop there, either. That's right, Evans had more to say about the way Slate talks. Really, who knew someone could talk so much about how someone speaks. The Marvel actor added,

"It’s like an art form talking with her, because the visuals associated with her expression are just so colorful. She’s so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she’s incredibly compassionate, there’s just nothing to not love about her."

Anyone else feel like they're in a dream or watching a really great romantic comedy? Do exes really talk about each other like this?

They clearly do, because Slate has also previously discussed Evans and had nothing but kind things to say about her former boyfriend. Here's where Slate's "art form" of a language can be seen first-hand. Yeah, Evans wasn't joking when he said she has a way with words.

In March, Slate chatted with Vulture and conversed heavily about Evans. If you haven't read the piece, you really should. Similar to Evans, she said, "I don’t mind talking about him at all. He’s a lovely person." I won't argue with her there. And now allow yourself to be captivated by the language she used to describe him:

"What’s the same about us is not just that we’re from Massachusetts, which was such a delight, but Chris is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, to the point where sometimes I would look at him and it would kind of break my heart. He’s really vulnerable, and he’s really straightforward. He’s like primary colors. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he’s really sure of them. It’s just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it."

Wow. Just wow. If you can talk about someone like the way Slate and Evans both do when it comes to each other, then you know that person has impacted your life greatly. It must be an amazing feeling to have had someone like that as not only a romantic partner, but as an individual you will forever respect and support.

One might think it's surprising that these two have been so talkative about their relationship, but like Evans told People, he chose the life of an actor and sometimes being open about your personal life comes with the territory. He prefers to be "candid," especially when it comes to a worthy person who was once part of his life. The Avengers actor explained, "And you know what, if the things you’re doing and the things you’re surrounding yourself with are quality people and they are beautiful experiences, there’s no shame in sharing.”

Obviously, Slate was one those "beautiful experiences." Why are they so perfect?

Both Evans and Slate can keep on sharing all they want about each other. I welcome it with open arms.
