Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig weren't nominated for any awards at the 2017 Golden Globes, but they won Best Presenters of the Night. While presenting Best Animated Film, Wiig and Carell decided to take us on a trip down memory lane and share the first time they saw an animated film. Surprisingly sad stories ensued, and it was truly a highlight of the night. In case you missed it, here's a video of Carell and Wiig's sad Golden Globe stories that will have you crying from laughter.

Carell took us with him on a trip down memory lane, back to when he saw Fantasia... on the same day his parents told him they were getting a divorce. "And that was the last time I saw my dad," Carell joked, taking off his glasses to wipe away imaginary tears. Wiig's fake true story might be even more tragic: she said that she saw Bambi on the day she had to put her family dogs down.

As you can imagine, these sad "true stories" got major laughs from the audience, and had everyone wondering if Wiig and Carell could host the rest of the night. The award for Best Animated Film ended up going to Disney's Zootopia, but Carell and Wiig's hilariously sad first animated movie stories were the real winners.

Needless to say, people were impressed.

I'd be willing to campaign to make that happen, honestly. Wiig/Carell 2018, y'all.
