You Need To See The ‘Stranger Things’ Cast’s Amazing Dance Party With Their Fellow TV Kids
After Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, the stars of the hit series Stranger Things were spotted dancing at at Netflix after-party. And lucky for fans, the party was captured in pictures and adorable videos for all of us to look at and share. Aren't we lucky to be living in a time when it's so easy for someone to take out their cell phone to document something delightful when it happens?
On Sunday, January 21, a number of the actors from Strangers Things (associate producer: Emily Morris) were in attendance at the SAG Awards, as the cast received a total of four nominations. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on the Netflix show, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, David Harbour, who plays Police Chief Jim Hopper, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series, the entire cast was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, and the stunt team was nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.
Despite four nominations, none of the Stranger Things (casting: Carmen Cuba) actors took home any trophies at the SAG Awards, with some even saying that Brown was snubbed. Fortunately, not winning didn't seem to have bothered any of the cast members too much as they were spotted later in the evening at a Netflix after-party the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, California, dancing with some of the younger stars of This Is Us (series directing: Sarah Pia Anderson) and Black-ish (series casting: Alexis Frank Koczara), E! News reports.
Check out the shot of Brown dancing with her Stranger Things co-stars Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, as well as Miles Brown and Marsai Martin (who play Jack and Diane Johnson, respectively on Black-ish) and Lonnie Chavis (who plays 10-year-old Randall on This Is Us).
Although a few older cast members were present, and seemed to join in on the dancing, the younger actors were definitely the ones who seemed to really be going for it on the dance floor!
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but the photos don't necessarily do justice to how much fun the child actors were having at the after-party. Fortunately, fans posted videos of the party to Twitter. Check out the group singing and dancing along to "Bodak Yellow" by Cardi B.
Another fan caught a video of just Brown and McLaughlin tearing it up on the dance floor.
And here's one last video, that's over a minute in length, of the young actors doing all sorts of fun dance moves, including a moment where they all link hands and do a wave.
They certainly all did seem to be enjoying the party, as well as each other's company. And isn't it great that despite losing, none of the Stranger Things kids seemed disappointed? Judging from the smiles on their faces, and their moves on the dance floor, they all appear to have had a great time.
This isn't the first time we've seen the Stranger Things kids looking and acting adorably at an award show, though, as the stars frequently make headlines for how friendly they seem on the red carpet, as well as when they show up on one another's social media. Brown, McLaughlin, Matarazzo, and their other young co-stars Noah Schnapps and Finn Wolfhard totally seem like besties IRL, and fans of the series are here for it.
Netflix has already renewed Stranger Things for a third season, likely set to air in 2019, so we can expect to see the stars at plenty of award shows, and after-parties, in the years to come.
