The Song In The New 'Fate Of The Furious' Ad

If you're watching the Super Bowl, there's a good chance you also caught a very intense ad for the latest Fast and the Furious movie. Part of the reason the ad was so... high octane (forgive me) was because of the song in The Fate of the Furious trailer. But what is it?

The song at hand is Speakerbox by Bassnectar feat. Lafa Taylor. Bassnectar is a DJ and producer, and if you didn't guess already, Bassnectar is a stage name. The DJ's real name is Lorin Ashton. Having a song featured in a Fast and Furious trailer will definitely bring more recognition to the artist from listeners who weren't aware of Bassnectar before — especially if "Speakerbox" becomes the signature song of the eight Fast and Furious movie.

There have been songs strongly associated with past Fast and Furious movies. For instance, "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth for the seventh movie, "We Own It" by 2 Chainz & Wiz Khalifa for the sixth movie, and "Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar feat. Lucenzo for the fifth film.
