This Huge Amazon Sale Is The Perfect Time To Add Some Books To Your Kindle

by K.W. Colyard

For its beloved e-reader's 10th birthday, Amazon is hosting a Kindle anniversary sale with prices you have to see to believe. Amazon has Kindle 10th Anniversary Deals on e-readers, e-books, and bookish subscription services, but you need to act fast if you want to take full advantage of the sales, because there is no telling how long these deals will last.

If you do not own a Kindle, or you are still using the old one you bought in high school, you can upgrade your e-reader now at an awesome price. Amazon is currently offering $30 off the regular price of its Kindle, Paperwhite, and Voyage models, and you can bundle your new Kindle with a cover and charger for $40 more.

Got kids to buy for? Kindle for Kids bundles are also on sale, giving you the chance to snag an e-reader and cover, plus Kindle FreeTime and a 2-year worry-free warranty, all for $69.99.

Unfortunately, the all-new Kindle Oasis is not part of the Kindle 10th Anniversary Deals, so you will have to drop the full $249.99 if you want to enjoy risk-free bathtub reading. Here's to hoping the Kindle Oasis will be on-sale come Black Friday, folks.

If you need a new e-book library, don't worry. With its subscription services deeply discounted, Amazon has you covered. You can get 12 months of Audible for under $100 right now, a $50 savings. Kindle Unlimited prices have also been slashed, with 12-month subscriptions discounted by 33 percent and 24-month subscriptions down 40 percent.

Don't want to sign up for something long-term? Amazon is also offering great discounts on individual e-books and e-book bundles among the Kindle 10th Anniversary Deals. One hundred top-selling e-books are on sale for as little as $0.99, and Amazon has made sure to include a little something for everyone.

Want a romantic read for those cold, winter nights? Pick up a copy of Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey for just $2. Kaur's second collection of poetry, The Sun and Her Flowers, is still selling for $8 on Kindle, but grabbing both of the young poet's books for less than $10 is an incredibly sweet deal.

(Get it? Sweet? Because "honey" and "flowers" . . . ehh, whatever.)

If romance isn't your thing, maybe you'd like to pick up a mystery or thriller novel to spice up your reading list. Look through the Kindle 10th Anniversary Deals and you'll find Blake Crouch's Dark Matter, Emma Donoghue's Room, and Robert Galbraith's The Cuckoo's Calling for just $4 each. Louise Penny's third Chief Inspector Gamache Mystery, The Cruelest Month, is on sale for $3.

Sci-fi fans can get their hands on nine books by Octavia E. Butler for less than $8 in all. Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents are on sale individually, alongside two Butler bundles. Lilith's Brood contains Dawn, Adulthood Rights, and Imago, and Seed to Harvest is comprised of Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind, Clay's Ark, and Patternmaster. Each book and bundle costs a mere $1.99 right now, so jump on these deals while you can.

Finally, nonfiction readers can pick up some really great books for less than $3 each. Kindle copies of Naomi Klein's No Is Not Enough and Rebecca Solnit's Men Explain Things to Me are $2 right now, and Kate Moore's The Radium Girls will cost you $3 during the Kindle anniversary sale.

Head on over to Amazon to check out the full list of Kindle 10th Anniversary Deals.
