This Preview For The Kardashians’ Christmas Special Will Make Fans Do A Double Take

It’s around 70 degrees in the Kingdom of Calabasas, so you know what that means: The Keeping Up with the Kardashians holiday special is nigh. E! has released a preview for the Kardashian-Jenner family’s latest Christmas spectacular, a forthcoming episode that’ll include a cook-off between Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian, a gingerbread house building session, Kris threatening to put an ice skating rink in her backyard just to tick off Kim Kardashian, and someone in a Santa Claus costume. On first glance, you might be like, “Oh, it’s an actor in a Kris Kringle ‘stume. Classic Christmas stuff. Nothing too crazy about that. Let’s get back to the ice skating rink battle.”

However, when Kim drops to the ground and melts into a puddle of laughter, you begin to suspect that it isn’t a random Santa impersonator. And when Khloé tells Kendall Jenner and Kris to keep Santa’s identity under wraps, you get a feeling that it might be someone who is somehow connected to the family. The clouds part, and the revelation shines down like a beam of sunlight that’s been kept at bay all winter: Someone they know is in that St. Nick ensemble.

Who, oh who could that possibly be? Which member of Kim’s inner circle pulled on a plush red coat and pants set, threw on some prosthetics, glued some marshmallow white hair to their face, and went all in on playing the role of Mrs. Claus’ husband? Is it Scott Disick? Or Stephanie Shepherd? Larsa Pippen? Mario Dedivanovic? Jen Atkin?

Play the trailer again. Stare at Santa’s eyeballs. Give Santa’s voice a good listen. Really analyze Kimmy K’s reaction. Could it be? Do thine eyes and ears deceive you, or is that the one and only Foodgod? The sneak peek never reveals who is behind those spectacles, but it definitely appears as though Jonathan Cheban dressed up like Santa Claus for “A Very Kardashian Holiday.” And by jolly, er, golly, that would be a gift to us all. Or maybe it’s someone dressed as Cheban dressed as Santa Claus? Hm. Hm.

As you might’ve deduced, the family did not rent a time machine and travel to Xmas 2017; the KUWTK special was not filmed in the middle of the holiday season, and the Kardashian-Jenners aren’t pretending like it was. On Oct. 16, Kris tweeted and Instagrammed a group photo that the family, Santa Claus, some elves, and ice skating icon Nancy Kerrigan posed for while taping the KUWTK holiday special. The matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner empire wrote, “Oh no big deal... just Ice Skating with @nancyakerrigan in Calabasas in 95 degree heat for our Christmas Special!!!!”

Oof, of all days to shoot an episode where everyone’s supposed to be in their cozy best, the Kardashian-Jenners had to film smack dab in the middle of an L.A. heatwave. The sweaters, the tights, and the long sleeves must’ve been so uncomfortable, and poor Cheban Claus (or whoever it is) was most likely sweating buckets in that Santa outfit and— wait. This is the Kardashian-Jenner family. They’re one of the most powerful families on the planet. A hot autumn day is no match for their clout. Kris probably ordered an industrial-grade, whisper quiet, outdoor air conditioning unit. That, or she called the sun directly and asked it to lay off for several hours.

“A Very Kardashian Holiday” will premiere on Nov. 26, and it already sounds like the perfect way to end the long Thanksgiving weekend. Give thanks, because the Kardashian-Jenners have offered up just the thing to watch while tucking into the last of the leftovers. It's just as Foodgod Claus intended.
