If you're looking for more TV featuring badass women, look no further than Netflix's Jessica Jones. On Saturday, the network dropped the Jessica Jones Season 2 trailer. And hang on, the news gets even better: The release date was also announced at the end of the 55-second clip. Fans will get to see more of Krysten Ritter's Marvel character starting on March 8, 2018.

Sure, fans got to see Ritter's titular character in action in The Defenders, which came out this past August. But besides that, it's been two years since the first season of Jessica Jones dropped in 2015. Basically, that's far too long for fans of the character who brought some serious feminist energy to the Marvel franchise. And while they now still have to wait until the new year, at least there's a date to put on the calendar.

Of course, Jessica's return to screens isn't going unnoticed by avid fans. Many responded directly to the TV show's Twitter account to rejoice at the new sneak peek, as well as the premiere date. Comments range from, "Finally, Jessica is back," to another dubbing it "A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE." Someone else threw in the most simple and straightforward response of all: "FINALLY!!!!!!"

As the trailer boasts, "Get ready. She's coming back to unfinished business." Suffice to say, it sure sounds like fans are more than ready. Here are some of the best responses to this Netflix news.

Letting The Character Speak For Herself

Many fans would say, "Same."

A Solid Suggestion, To Which The TV Show Actually Responded

Whiskey is Jessica's go-to vice. Which is why the account responded with a positive reply and offer to share:

Even Her Fellow Marvel Heroes Weighed In

Luke Cage welcomed her back.

Including The Iron Fist

Who wasn't necessarily as kind as his fellow Defenders.

Luckily Daredevil Had Her Back

Honestly, bravo to whoever runs the Netflix shows' social media accounts and personifies each respective series.

Another Fan Noticed This Beautiful Fact

It can't be a coincidence, can it? International Women's Day does fall on March 8 every single year. What better way to celebrate than marathoning the new episodes of Jessica Jones?

The people know what they want, and it's more Jessica Jones.

Others Shared All Of The Praise

Considering that Netflix has put out several Marvel shows, this says a lot.

As excited as fans may be, it's also worth knowing what they're getting themselves into. In a recently released interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ritter reflected on Jessica Jones Season 2 and where her character's at. She told the publication,

“Jessica is in a pretty dark headspace when we meet her at the top of season 2. What we’ve done again is kept the story very personal. If season 1 was in her head and in her mind, then this season will be more in her heart. It’s still a psychological thriller, but it’s more of an emotional thriller this time.”

She also was asked by EW about the show's relevance, especially in terms of its darker themes of trauma and sexual assault, in the wake of the outpouring of allegations in Hollywood recently. Ritter said,

"We have a really unique situation where our show is all women, the main character’s a woman, it’s written by a woman, and even when the crew comes in, they always make comments about how different our energy is on set… There’s a real, feminine power to our show that is noticeable, I think."

As for how everything plays out, the trailer makes it seem like the show isn't afraid to tackle anything this season. Jessica is officially back, and now you just have to wait until March to see what happens next.
