All has finally been revealed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Jersey Shore reunion is part of an E! docu-series called Reunion Road Trip, and it's going to feature Snooki and the rest of the gang revisiting their old haunts. The docu-series is just the start of the nostalgia train, because Reunion Road Trip is set to feature the casts of more scripted and unscripted shows in the future. However, the journey will be kicked off by those now all grown up Jersey Shore pals, though when this Jersey Shore reunion's premiere date is has yet to be set. Bustle has reached out to E! for confirmation, but have yet to receive a response.
You can get a taste of what it will be like for the crew to get back together again by checking out their mini-reunion for Burger King. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Sammi "Sammi Sweetheart" Giancola, Deena Cortese, and Vinny Guadagnino recently sat down for a fine dinner of Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches and catching up. While they're still the masters of the bleep button, the cast has clearly matured, as evidenced by their talk of children and marriages.
Reunion Road Trip is sure to delve even deeper, and offer fans the look inside the current lives of their Jersey Shore favorites that they've been longing for. THR reports:
"Viewers will follow the lifelong friends as they come together to gossip about each other's lives, what has been said about them in the press, the juiciest moments and stories we never saw behind the scenes, and most of all talk about the pop culture hit that has bonded them forever."
It sounds like it's going to be a good time, and it could be just the beginning of the reunion fun. The Jersey Shore get-together is the series' pilot episode. At the moment, no other casts have been lined up, but E! hopes to bring back more scripted and unscripted show favorites for similar trips down memory lane in future episodes.
For now, prepare yourself for the return of Snooki, The Situation, and DJ Pauly D in all of their spray-tanned glory. Just because they're not kids partying all night and coming up with epic nicknames for one another anymore, doesn't mean they're out of secrets to share.
