Looking for a romantic Valentine's Day and hoping to have it your way? The Burger King adult-only meals have you covered. Well, they have you covered if you live in Israel.
What is it? The aptly named "Adults Meal" is your favorite Burger King meal with a grownup edge, right in time for February 14th. Two Whoppers, two fries, two beers, and, for the icing on the burger, a "romantic" adult toy.
Yes, you heard me correctly. We're talking a sex toy, with your fast food. According to the commercial for the special, it looks like we're talking a blindfold, a tickler, and a head massager. Which may not be full-on vibrator territory, but it certainly is way more 50 Shades of Grey than you would normally expect with your burger. I'm all in favor of anything that promotes and normalizes sexuality and sex-positivity, so I'm all for it. That being said, I'm not sure I'd personally run out and grab one, even if I were in Israel. I just don't find the smell of Whoppers to be an aphrodisiac, though for some I'm sure it is.
If you are in Israel, you've got a limited time to make your move. It looks like they're only available Tuesday, from 6 p.m. to closing.
Look how seductively they pull that head massager out of the box. I mean, nothing screams romance like dramatically back-lit fast food. But you know what, if you're looking for something last-minute and on a budget, Burger King just may be the answer for you. Though I would definitely talk it over with your date first, because a surprise Valentine's Day trip to Burger King may not be what they had in mind. That being said, sex toys can get expensive— so who's going to turn their nose up at a great deal?
We'll have to see if Burger King brings these to America next year. And maybe the other fast food chains will get involved — is a romantic pizza and bullet vibrator set around the corner? Probably not, but a girl can dream. Maybe fast food will become the new date night of choice.
Either way, it's a pretty amazing development, even if it is only for a limited time. So if you're in Israel you can see what all the fun is about. In the meantime, in my opinion more sex positivity is always better. So well done, Burger King.
