The Britney Lifetime Movie Poster Has Arrived
All my people in the crowd, we have new Britney Spears Lifetime original movie content to take in. I repeat: We have new Britney Spears Lifetime original movie content to take in. On Thursday, the network debuted the first poster for Britney Ever After, the upcoming made-for-TV feature film based on Spears’s personal life and career, over at Us Weekly. Now, not to let my Britney standom get the better of me (just kidding, I am always proud to let my Britney standom get the better of me), but this poster for the unauthorized Spears Lifetime flick is as haunting as the trailer for the unauthorized Spears Lifetime flick. Yes, much like that intense preview and the stills from the movie, this poster is truly affecting stuff.
What is it about this poster that is so haunting? Take your pick: The greenish light that makes it look like she is underwater or standing below a spaceship, the smile that is almost entirely obscured by the green shadow, the mic holding on for dear life (can you even imagine how stressful it would be to be a headset that has been tasked with staying put while a pop star hits a whole bunch of intricate and intense dance moves?), Natasha Bassett’s oh-so Brit Brit hairdo — every last piece cuts me to my Spears-obsessed core. And I love it.
Want to see the poster with your own eyeballs? Is your soul ready to be stirred? You can check it out for yourself below.
And for those of you who haven't seen the trailer (or, ya know, want to watch it for a zillionth time), here it is in all of its glory.
The clip of the infamous umbrella attack — er, the clip of the reenactment of the infamous umbrella attack — puts me on edge every time I watch the trailer. And it is only in the trailer for, like, half a second. I have a feeling this movie is going to take a lot out of me. And I cannot wait to watch it.
Britney Ever After premieres Feb. 18 on Lifetime. Get it, get it. Get it, get it, whoaaaa.
